Running

Running is a means of terrestrial  locomotion  allowing humans and other animals to move rapidly on foot. It is simply defined in athletics terms as a gait in which at regular points during the running cycle both feet are off the ground. This is in contrast to where walking one  foot is always in contact with the ground, the legs are kept mostly straight and the center of the gravity vaults over the legs in an inverted pendulum fashion.
Running is a natural form of human locomotion. To many, running is an essential aspect of most sports and is also a simple way that requires little to get exercise anywhere. But because many people have adapted to improper forms of running over time, numerous physical injuries are the results.
